Basic of a Skincare Routine
When it comes to a basic skincare routine, it needs to have three main types of products
1) A CLEANSER
The function of a cleanser is to clean the skin and remove any dirt, sweat or excess oil that may have built up over time. Cleanse twice a day just morning and evening. The type of cleanser to use depends on your skin type
2) A MOISTURIZER
A moisturizer hydrates the skin and it's applied after washing your face with a cleanser. It is also responsible for preventing water loss since it contains occlusives like oils or petrolatum that form a barrier on skin to lock in moisture. Moisturizers are also responsible for repairing the skin barrier thanks to ingredients like ceramides.
3)A SUNSCREEN
Last but not least, you need a sunscreen. This can either be a physical or chemical sunscreen. The main function of the sunscreen is to protect the skin against UVA and UVB rays from the sun. These rays are responsible for sunburns/pigmentation/aging respectfully. Any sunscreen above spf30 offers great coverage. Remember to apply at least 20minutes before sun exposure. A sunscreen is always applied last in a morning skincare routine
